The Kingdom of Cambodia, abbreviated as Cambodia, is located on the Indochinese Peninsula, bordering Thailand in the west and northwest, Laos in the northeast, Vietnam in the east and southeast, and facing the Gulf of Thailand in the south. Cambodia has a land area of 181000 square kilometers and a population of approximately 17.28 million (as of April 2025). The country is divided into 24 provinces and 1 municipality (Phnom Penh), with the capital city being Phnom Penh. Cambodian is the official language, while English is widely used in government departments.


The central and southern parts of Cambodia are plains, while the eastern, northern, and western parts are surrounded by mountains and plateaus; It belongs to tropical monsoon climate. Cambodia, formerly known as Khmer, is an ancient civilization with a long history. As early as the 1st century, a unified kingdom was established. The Angkor Dynasty from the 9th to the 14th century was a glorious era in Cambodian history. In 1993, with the establishment of the Cambodian National Authority and the realization of national reconciliation, Cambodia entered a new era of peace and development. Cambodia is a traditional agricultural country, and the garment and construction industries are the two pillars of Cambodia's industry.
