At 10:00 a.m. on August 15th, Mr.Han Sokhemnuk and Mr.Kang Sovannara of Cambodia CDC (Cambodia Development Council) visited Huaxiang International Special Economic Zone to give guidance. Chairman Huang Liping held a reception ceremony and organized a symposium in the conference room on the second floor.
Chairman Huang Liping extended a warm welcome to Cambodian CDC officials visiting Huaxiang, expressing gratitude for their guidance and support in the development of the Special Economic Zone. He emphasized that the Cambodian CDC has provided precise and comprehensive services to foreign investors establishing businesses in Cambodia, including project approval reviews, policy incentives, and identification of potential investors. These efforts have made significant contributions to Cambodia's economic growth and social progress.
Chairman Huang Liping briefed CDC officials on all aspects of the Huaxiang International Special Economic Zone. As of now, the zone has attracted over 40 resident enterprises and more than ten construction projects, spanning industries including sports equipment, lighting fixtures, and furniture manufacturing. It stands as Cambodia's first special economic zone to obtain a Level 1 Environmental Impact Assessment certification. Following the finalization of U.S. tariffs on Cambodian goods, the Huaxiang Special Economic Zone intensified its promotional efforts by dispatching a dedicated investment delegation to Chinese mainland for business negotiations, achieving notable progress in attracting foreign investments.
Cambodian CDC official Mr.Han Sokhemnuk delivered a keynote speech. After thoroughly reviewing the certification processes for enterprises in the Huaxiang International Special Economic Zone, he highly commended its strategic planning and existing achievements. Mr.Han emphasized that to expedite the entry of prospective investors into the zone, Cambodia's CDC will deploy dedicated specialists to operate on-site, providing streamlined services for companies applying to establish CDC affiliates.
At the end of the symposium, Mr.Han Sokhemnuk hoped that The Hua Xiang International Special Economic Zone would continue to provide quality services for enterprises and help the Cambodian government to continuously optimize the business environment and strive to become a special economic zone with the best development potential, the most beautiful ecological environment and the most complete infrastructure in Cambodia.
