The business delegation visited Huaxiang International Special Economic Zone
On the afternoon of September 7, 2025, the Cambodia Huaxiang International Special Economic Zone warmly welcomed the 2025 "Connecting ASEAN, Creating the Future" business delegation from the Hubei Xianning Chamber of Commerce in Guangdong Province. Outstanding entrepreneurs from Xianning City, Hubei Province visited the special zone for an inspection tour and provided guidance. Ms.Wang Cheng, General Manager of Huaxiang Group, presided over a lively welcome ceremony and a symposium to facilitate professional exchanges.
The distinguished attendees at the meeting included: Mr.Dan Taishan, Lifetime Honorary President of the Guangdong-Hubei Xianning Chamber of Commerce's Evergreen Association and Director of Shenzhen Taijiacheng Industrial Co., Ltd.; Mr.Chen Ping, Honorary President of the Evergreen Association and Director of Guangdong Kerui Daily Necessities Co., Ltd.; Mr.Wu Sangang, President of the Guangdong-Hubei Xianning Chamber of Commerce and Director of Dongguan Yonghao Electric Co., Ltd. Among the 21 corporate representatives present, the symposium was chaired by Mr.Zhang Zhongqiu.
General Manager Wang Cheng extended a warm welcome to the delegation and expressed gratitude to the chamber entrepreneurs for their attention and support towards Huaxiang International Special Economic Zone. In her subsequent presentation, Ms.Wang Cheng systematically outlined the development history of Huaxiang Group, the strategic positioning of Huaxiang International Special Economic Zone, and Cambodia's current investment promotion policies.
Located in Cambodia's Chai Chhn Province, Huaxiang International Special Economic Zone is a government-approved economic hub. Launched in 2023, the project's Phase I and II phases cover 800 hectares with plans to expand to 1,500 hectares over time. As the only special economic zone in Cambodia certified by China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment for a Level-1 environmental assessment, Huaxiang International focuses on building an "eco-friendly and environmentally sustainable" industrial park, dedicated to creating a high-standard industrial cluster that promotes sustainable development.
Up to now, 48 enterprises have been successfully introduced to the zone, and another 22 enterprises are in the construction stage of their factories. When all the enterprises are put into operation, it is expected to create nearly 50,000 local jobs, which will significantly help Cambodia alleviate employment pressure.
Wang Cheng further highlighted that the Special Zone, strategically located at the intersection of Highway 135 and 314D2 in Cambodia's Chai Chheng Province, enjoys exceptional geographical advantages: 23 km from PREY VOR Customs, 34 km from Phnom Penh Port, 121 km from Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh Port, and 137 km from the capital Phnom Penh. With ongoing infrastructure upgrades in Cambodia, the Special Zone will directly benefit from the development of the "Phnom Penh-Phnom Penh-Ho Chi Minh City" transnational economic corridor. Upon the operational launch of De Chong International Airport, the Special Zone will be integrated into the "three-hour aviation economic zone" connecting Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh City, thereby further solidifying its regional hub status.
When outlining Cambodia's investment environment, Wang Cheng highlighted the nation's demographic profile: With a population of approximately 17.28 million and an average age of 27, the country boasts abundant young labor resources, where the demographic dividend is projected to sustain for decades. The Special Economic Zone (SEZ) provides comprehensive support including tax incentives, one-stop government services, expedited customs clearance, legal advisory services, and electroplating industrial park facilities. To streamline complex procedures such as land transactions, investment approvals, CDC registration, and factory construction, the SEZ has established on-site government offices and implemented a "concierge-style" full-process service system. These measures significantly simplify investment processes while reducing operational costs for businesses.
During the exchange session, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on practical operations of enterprises in Cambodia, policy coordination, and industrial cooperation. Entrepreneurs from the Guangdong-Hubei Xianning Chamber of Commerce expressed strong interest in the Huaxiang International Special Economic Zone and demonstrated confidence in future investment and development in Cambodia. Many representatives stated they would seize this inspection opportunity to further advance substantive cooperation with the Special Zone in areas such as industrial alignment and resource integration.
